By placing an order with us (via website, phone, or email), you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Quotations & Ordering
1.1 Validity: All quotations issued by Cobolt Furniture are valid for 7 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
1.2 Accuracy: It is the Buyer’s responsibility to check all quotation details (including product codes, quantities, finishes, and dimensions) before confirming an order. We cannot be held responsible for errors in orders once they have been confirmed by the Buyer.
1.3 Acceptance: A contract is formed only when we dispatch the goods or send a written Order Confirmation. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason prior to dispatch.
2. Products & Specifications
2.1 Updates: Our product range is regularly updated. We reserve the right to alter specifications without notice, provided the adjustment does not materially affect the performance or aesthetics of the item.
2.2 Imagery: Descriptions, dimensions, and images are for guidance only. Due to photography lighting and screen calibration, actual colours may vary slightly from those shown online. Wood and natural materials may vary in grain and tone.
3. Prices & VAT
3.1 VAT: All prices shown on our website or catalogues are exclusive of VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. VAT will be applied at the current UK rate at checkout.
3.2 Errors: Despite our best efforts, pricing errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming at the correct price or cancelling.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Public Sector & Government Bodies (30-Day Accounts)
Councils, NHS Trusts, MOD, Schools, Universities, and other government-funded organisations automatically qualify for 30-day credit terms.
- A valid Official Purchase Order (PO) must be submitted to help@coboltfurniture.co.uk.
- Payment terms are strictly 30 days net from the invoice date.
- We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue balances at 4% above the Barclays Bank base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4.2 Non-Account Customers (Business & Consumer)
For all other businesses and individuals, payment must be made in full at the time of order via:
- Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
- BACS/CHAPS Bank Transfer (Pro-Forma Invoice available on request)
- Shop Pay / PayPal
5. Delivery & Access
5.1 Timescales: Delivery dates quoted are estimates only. While we make every effort to deliver on time, we are not liable for costs incurred (e.g., waiting contractors) due to delays outside our control.
5.2 Locations: Standard delivery applies to UK Mainland. Remote locations (Highlands, Islands, NI) may incur surcharges and longer lead times.
5.3 Kerbside Standard: Unless an installation service has been purchased, delivery is to the kerbside or ground floor reception only. It is the Buyer's responsibility to transport goods into the premises.
5.4 Failed Deliveries: Deliveries require a signature. If a delivery fails because the customer is not present, we reserve the right to charge a redelivery fee.
6. Cancellations & Returns
Items manufactured to your specific requirements (custom colours, sizes, fabrics) are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable unless faulty.
You have a 24-hour cooling-off period from the time of order to cancel. After 24 hours, production costs may have been incurred, and cancellation may not be possible or will be subject to a fee.
Businesses may return standard items within 7 days of delivery with prior written agreement. These returns are subject to a restocking and collection fee. Goods must be unopened and resaleable.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers (individuals not acting for business) have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel an order for standard items. Return shipping is at the consumer's cost unless the item is faulty.
7. Damages & Faulty Goods
7.1 Reporting: Damages or shortages must be reported in writing to help@coboltfurniture.co.uk within 14 days of delivery. Please include photographic evidence.
7.2 Remedy: If goods are confirmed as faulty, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. Our liability does not extend to fair wear and tear, misuse, or unauthorised alterations.
8. Risk & Retention of Title
Risk in the goods passes to the Buyer upon delivery. However, ownership (title) remains with Displaysense Ltd until full payment has been received. Until title passes, the Buyer must store goods separately and keep them identifiable as our property.
9. Liability
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the invoice price of the goods. We accept no liability for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
