Q: Does this include a receiver clip for the other wall?
A: Yes. The unit comes complete with a plastic wall receiver clip. You mount the main unit on one wall and the receiver clip on the opposite wall to secure the belt end.
Q: Is the retraction mechanism safe for such a long belt?
A: Yes. It utilizes the patented Tensabarrier SlowRetract™ system. This is specifically calibrated to handle the 4.6m length, ensuring the belt winds back slowly and safely without whipping.
Q: Can I connect the belt to a post instead of a wall?
A: Yes. The belt end features a universal clip that is compatible with standard Tensabarrier posts. You can pull the belt from the wall unit and clip it onto a portable stanchion if needed.
Q: How do I install it?
A: Installation is straightforward. The unit has fixing points on the back plate. You simply screw it securely into the wall using appropriate rawl plugs and screws for your wall type (fixings usually standard).
Q: Is it suitable for outdoor use?
A: The ABS plastic is durable, but the internal steel spring mechanism is best suited for indoor use or sheltered areas. For exposed outdoor locations, we recommend our weatherproof range to prevent corrosion.

A: Yes. The belt end features an anti-tamper locking mechanism. Once clipped into the receiver, it requires a specific push-button release, preventing accidental opening.
