Q: What is the main advantage of the 3.65m belt?
A: The extended 3.65m belt allows you to space the posts further apart. This means you need fewer posts to cover the same distance, reducing costs and decluttering your floor space.
Q: Does the longer belt sag?
A: No. The high-quality woven polyester webbing is kept under constant tension by the internal spring mechanism, ensuring it remains taut and professional even at full extension.
Q: Is the retraction still safe with a longer belt?
A: Yes. The post uses the patented Tensabarrier SlowRetract™ system. It is specifically calibrated to handle the extra length, winding it back slowly to prevent the end from whipping around.
Q: Is it compatible with standard 2.3m posts?
A: Yes. The connection splines and clips are universal across the Tensabarrier range. You can connect a 3.65m belt to a standard post and vice versa, giving you flexibility in your layout.
Q: Is the base stable enough for the longer belt?
A: Yes. The unit uses the same heavy-duty 10kg cast iron base as standard models. It provides sufficient counterweight to keep the post upright and stable, even with the longer belt fully extended.
Q: Can I use it outdoors?
A: This black powder-coated model is best suited for indoor use. For outdoor applications where the barrier will be exposed to weather, we recommend our specialized plastic or stainless steel outdoor ranges.
Q: Is assembly required?
A: Minimal assembly is needed. The post and base ship separately to prevent damage. You simply bolt the post to the base using the included tool—it takes less than a minute.
