Expert Advice for Extra Large Noticeboards
Q: Is this board fire resistant?
A: No, this is a standard board. It is not Class B rated. For fire exit corridors and stairwells, you must select from our "Fire Resistant" range. This board is suitable for classrooms and general areas.
Q: What are the dimensions in feet?
A: It is approximately 6ft x 4ft. The exact metric dimensions are 1800mm (width) x 1200mm (height).
Q: Is it difficult to install?
A: We recommend two people. Due to the 1.8m length and weight (approx 9kg), it is safer and easier for two people to level and fix the board to the wall.
Q: Why choose the Green version?
A: Green is the traditional choice. It is favoured by schools and eco-committees as it reduces glare and provides a natural, calming aesthetic that helps focus attention.
Q: Can I mount it portrait?
A: Yes, absolutely. The fixings are symmetrical, so you can install it as 1200mm wide x 1800mm high if you have a tall, narrow wall space.
Q: Does the frame have sharp edges?
A: No. The corners are protected by smooth, moulded plastic caps, which cover the aluminium joints and prevent injury, making it safe for busy areas.
Q: What pins should I use?
A: Standard push pins. The fibreboard core is designed to grip standard office or classroom pins securely. Staples are not recommended for framed boards.
Q: Are wall fixings included?
A: Yes. We include a standard screw and plug kit suitable for most solid walls.
