Q: Is this board fire resistant?
A: No, this is a standard board. It is not Class B rated. For fire exit corridors and stairwells, you must select from our "Fire Resistant" range. This board is suitable for classrooms and general areas.
Q: What are the dimensions in feet?
A: It is approximately 5ft x 4ft. The exact metric dimensions are 1500mm (width) x 1200mm (height).
Q: Is it difficult to install due to the size?
A: We recommend two people. While lightweight for its size, the 1.5m length makes it awkward for one person to level and fix. The corner fixing method itself is simple.
Q: Why choose the Green version?
A: Green is calming. It is the classic colour for educational settings as it reduces glare and provides a natural aesthetic that helps focus attention.
Q: Can I mount it portrait?
A: Yes, absolutely. The fixings are symmetrical, so you can install it as 1200mm wide x 1500mm high if you have a tall, narrow wall space.
Q: Does the frame have sharp edges?
A: No. The corners are protected by smooth, moulded plastic caps, which cover the aluminium joints and prevent injury, making it safe for schools.
Q: What pins should I use?
A: Standard push pins. The fibreboard core is designed to grip standard office or classroom pins securely. Staples are not recommended for framed boards.
Q: Are wall fixings included?
A: Yes. We include a standard screw and plug kit suitable for most solid walls.
