Vitreous Enamel
The premium choice. Also known as "porcelain" steel, this surface is fired at 800°C. It is incredibly hard, scratch-resistant, and non-porous, making it the only choice for schools and heavy-use areas.
Coated Steel
The office standard. Perfect for general use in meeting rooms and offices. It offers a smooth magnetic writing surface that is durable and easy to clean, providing excellent value for money.

Magnetic Whiteboard FAQs
What is the difference between Coated Steel and Enamel?
Coated Steel is painted steel; it is magnetic and good for moderate use. Vitreous Enamel is glass fused to steel; it is magnetic, extremely scratch-resistant, and non-porous (no staining), making it better for heavy use.
Do I need special magnets?
No. Both Coated Steel and Enamel boards accept standard office magnets. However, if you choose a Glass Whiteboard, you will need "Super Strong" neodymium magnets due to the thickness of the glass.
Can I mount the board vertically?
Yes. The corner fixing system on our framed boards is symmetrical, meaning you can mount the board in either Landscape (horizontal) or Portrait (vertical) orientation.
How do I clean the board?
For daily use, a standard dry eraser is fine. To keep the board looking new and remove grease build-up, we recommend using a specialist whiteboard cleaning spray and a soft cloth once a week.
What magnets should I buy?
We recommend buying a set of our standard 25mm coloured magnets. They are strong enough to hold up to 5 sheets of A4 paper, making them perfect for displaying notices or project notes.
