Magnetic Whiteboard FAQs
What is the difference between Coated Steel and Enamel whiteboard surfaces?
Coated Steel is painted steel; it is magnetic and good for moderate office use. Vitreous Enamel is glass fused to steel; it is magnetic, extremely scratch-resistant, and non-porous (no staining), making it best for heavy daily use.
Do I need special magnets for these steel boards?
No. Both Coated Steel and Enamel boards accept standard office magnets. However, if you choose a Glass Whiteboard, you will need "Super Strong" neodymium magnets due to the thickness of the glass.
Can I mount the whiteboard in a portrait (vertical) orientation?
Yes. The corner fixing system on our framed magnetic boards is symmetrical, meaning you can mount the board in either Landscape (horizontal) or Portrait (vertical) orientation to fit your wall space.
What is the best way to clean my magnetic board and prevent ghosting?
For daily use, a dry eraser is fine. To keep the board looking new, we recommend using a specialist whiteboard cleaning spray and a soft cloth once a week to remove ink residue and grease build-up.
Which magnets are best for holding multi-page documents?
We recommend our standard 25mm coloured magnets. They are strong enough to hold up to 5 sheets of A4 paper securely, making them perfect for displaying notices or project notes.
